ADMISSION PROCEDURE

How to apply?
Candidates are advised to follow the rules for admission to First Year & Direct Second year Diploma courses in Engineering/Technology as published by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State from time to time. However some of the basic guidelines are given below. All the candidates are advised to submit their applications to the Admission Authorities notified by the Government of Maharashtra on or before the last date of application, unless specified differently elsewhere in the brochure for institute level admission contact the college cell.

Entry requirement for the First Year of Diploma
Candidate should have passed the SSFor admission to first year the candidate must have passed secondary school certificate examination of Maharashtra State or any other equivalent examination with
a) General science or physics and chemistry
b) Elementary mathematics or algebra and
c) English with at least 50% marks (325/650) in aggregate (45% marks 293/650) for backward class candidate in aggregate.

RESERVATION FOR FEMALE CANDIDATES
As per Govt. Resolution No. GEC-1000/ (123/2000)ATech. Edu.-1, Dated 7th April 2000, 30% seats shall be reserved for female candidates.

TECHNICAL CANDIDATES
There shall be 15% seats reserved for the candidates taking technical subjects as prescribed by BTE.

SPECIAL PROVISION FOR ADMISSION OF OUTSIDE MAHARASHTRA CANDIDATES
After preparing the general merit list of the candidates from Maharashtra State, if there are some seats vacant the candidates from other states and union territories may be considered by preparing separate merit list of these candidates.

APPLICATION AND DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ALL CANDIDATES
   i) For all Candidates :
     a) S.S.C. Examination (STD X) Mark Sheet
     b) School Leaving Certificate after Passing S.S.C. Examination (Std X), Original
     c) H.S.C. Examination/ M.C.V.C.Examination Marksheet, (if applicable)

   ii) For Backward class Candidates belonging to SC/ST/DT/NT/SBC/OBC Categories :
     a) Caste certificate issued by executive magistrate (In addition to the documents mentioned in serial No. (i))

   iii) For Backward Class candidates belonging to NT2/NT3/OBC / VJ Categories :
     a) Caste certificate issued by executive magistrate.
     b) Non creamy layer certificate issued by competent authority valid for the current year.

   iv) For candidates passing VIII, IX, & X th examination from outside Maharashtra State and father/mother of the candidate is domiciled of Maharashtra.
      a) Domicile Certificate of father/mother indicate that they are domiciled in the state of Maharashtra

   v) For candidates belonging to state other than Maharashtra:
     a) Domicile Certificate in respect of father/mother of the candidate.

FOR CANDIDATES WHO ARE THE CHILDREN OF NRI ORIGINATING FROM MAHARASHTRA
a) Certificate of passing the qualifying Examination from an Institution outside India.
b) Domicile certificate in respect of father/parent of the candidate.
c)Certificate from the Indian Diplomatic Mission Chancellery or Commission abroad that father/parent or the candidate is of Indian Origin from Maharashtra and at present residing in that country.

Direct Admission to Second Year (IIIrd Semester) Engineering diploma courses

The candidates passing HSC (Science) Examination with vocational/technical subject of Maharashtra state of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of reserved category) are eligible for direct admission to second year. Their eligibility to course shall be varified.

Direct Second Year Admissions to ITI & MCVC Courses Passed Students having 60% marks.

Important Instructions
a) Copies of the Certificates attached to the application form should be attested.
b) Original certificate will have to be produced at the time of scrutiny of application prior to admission.
c) Application form should be properly & completely filled.
d) Application must be received in the office. on or before last date & time.

Transfer of Admission
To Second Year From other Polytechnic to G.S.Moze Institute of Tech,Pune
a) Candidates must have passed in all the subjects of the first year.
b) They must obtain no objection certificate from their previous polytechnic RODTE, Pune.
c) Must obtain eligibility certificate from MSBTE.
d) Transfer admission will be given only if seats are available.
e) All necessary certificates should be submitted in the institute office before last date.
f) Student will have to pay the prescribed fees in the office immediately after granting the admission.

Conduct and Discipline
a) Students while studying in institute if found in involving in anti-national activities contrary to the provisions of act and law enforced by Govt. will be expelled from the institute without any notice.
b) Candidate applying for admission against the reserved seats note that only those candidate who actually belong to the castes and communities will be eligible for the concession.
c) Candidate's admission shall be governed by rules of the institute.

Rules of Discipline
1) The students should obey the instructions given by the Principal from time to time.
2) Students will be expelled from the college when found disobeying the orders of Principal.

3) The Students should be regular in attendance and his attendance for the day shall be marked only when he is present for all the session during the day.
4) The Student found irregular in attendance shall be expelled from the polytechnic.
5) Student is required to submit the assignment, failing which he shall be subjected to the disciplinary action.
6) Student should carry identity card with him regularly.
7) If the Student cause any damage to polytechnic property, the damage caused shall be recovered from the student immediately.
8) The attendance for the test and tutorials conducted in polytechnic is compulsory.
9) Strict silence should be observed in the library, Loitering in corridors is strictly prohibited.
10) Smoking in the premises is strictly prohibited.

11) The student should read notice board regularly and the polytechnic will not be responsible for the loss of any advantage due to negligence of reading notices on the part of the students.
12) The above rules of discipline are always subject to change, modification, addition, omission or alternation.
13)He/she has put in satisfactory attendance of at least 75% of the total lectures/Periods in each Theory/Practical/Term Work/Tutorials/Project work Separately in each and every subject of the semester as per Teaching scheme of the Board and not the 75% of total lectures conducted by the Subject Teacher.

RAGGING IS PROHIBITED
Ragging is prohibited as per the decision of the supreme Court of India in writ Petition No(c) 656/1998.
